Sustainable retail stores

      Muji is one of the sustainable retail stores in the world. Orange (2014) points out that “the conception of Muji wants to show the foundation and ubiquity in the daily life.” (as cited Kenya, 2007). It means the simple life and do not have extra function and design. Martin (2012) states that Muji selects the sustainable materials to create new products to substitute origins materials. For example, Muji try to use the natural prints which without any pollution for the environment in the developing countries in 2008. (CS Rwire, 2013). On the other hand, Marati (2012) illustrate that Muji only simple packaging which can decrease the waste in the society. The designers usually consider about how to create the new products and solve the problems from customers’ request. For instance, their composition of packaging only have cellophane wrappers and brown papers which can recycle and can use again in the daily life. (Martin, 2012)

     To sum up, Muji is the retail stores which creates the sustainable products and encourages the customers suggest their problems and advices to decrease the pollutions. They also request the designers need to select the high quality and sustainable materials to make the merchandises to reduce the waste during the process.
